Teaming up with the Biji-Biji Initiative, we implemented this hybrid YSEALI Summit journey funded by the U.S. Embassy Bandar Seri Begawan. The Summit convened 105 Southeast Asian climate leaders from March to November 2022 with a series of online webinars and interactive sessions, offline eco challenge activities, online networking activities, and deepened their understanding on regional climate issues as well as expanded their network with expert and senior players in different industries working on innovative climate solutions. The Summit was designed to accelerate concerted action from the youth and expand their ability to navigate the complexity of climate issues in Southeast Asia. The Summit provided an opportunity for its participants to apply for one of two optional and highly rewarding program tracks. The Small Grants track provided seven winning teams a small grant funding of US$3,500 to implement their green recovery initiative. For those who wanted to advance their climate career, the Career Fellowship track invited 18 selected participants to join climate action organizations or companies in the region working on innovative climate change solutions.
