YSEALI Good Governance and Civil Society

Role
Timeline

Working with TechSoup Asia Pacific, I managed this month-long virtual workshop, initially planned to be a 5-day in person workshop in Kuala Lumpur. Due to the pandemic, we had to redesign the program into an online learning journey for 100 participants from Southeast Asia. Funded by the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, this virtual workshop centered on empowering and equipping 100 young ASEAN leaders with knowledge and techniques to enable them to promote transparent governance and democracy in their countries. The workshop convened various players, both at national and regional levels, who have been advocating and implementing transparency and good governance agendas in their communities, such as social and political activists; policy makers; and influential change-makers from various sectors of civil society, government and public institutions and private industries.
