This program is funded by the U.S. Embassy Bandar Seri Begawan and implemented by Wedu. I designed and managed the program, inviting 50 emerging leaders from Southeast Asia to Brunei for a 5-day workshop and creating a network of young Southeast Asian leaders who work across national borders to solve common problems, find collaborative ways to closing the gender gap, and identify reasons behind gender inequality in Southeast Asia. The program facilitated conversations and discussions among the participants and experts on promoting the advancement of women in society and reducing the use of stereotypes that keep women in lower-level roles and nurture an ASEAN community and solidified partnership between both men and women to narrow the gender gap together.
