YSEALI Women’s Leadership Academy

Role
Timeline

I co-designed the first YSEALI Women’s Leadership Academy in 2015 when I was the Cultural Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Mission to ASEAN. This is the only Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) regional workshop that occurs annually. After I leave the USASEAN in 2019, I continue to manage the program partnering with the implementing organization, Wedu.

The Academy aims to create an awareness and understanding of key gender differences and challenges in different thematic areas (e.g. public health, economic development, sustainability, etc), as well as empower emerging women leaders and help them advance their careers by providing access to advanced skills training and networking opportunities.
